Parameters

No file selected

Up to 20 files, 50 MB each and 100 MB total; up to 40 megapixels per decoded image. Files stay on your device.

1 KB = 1024 bytes. Quality is reduced first, then dimensions if needed. PNG uses resizing. An impossible target is reported as an error, never as a successful oversized file.

Compress images to a target size

Select up to 20 JPG, PNG or WebP images. Choose the output format, maximum width and starting quality. Set a target such as 200 KB for each output, or leave it at zero to use only the quality and width settings.

Target mode may lower resolution to meet the byte limit. Compare the preview before using the result. Small originals can become larger after conversion; a lower quality setting does not guarantee a smaller file than the source.

Batch results and privacy

Files are processed one at a time in your browser. Successful files can be downloaded individually or together in a ZIP, with numbered names to avoid collisions. Failed files are listed separately and excluded from downloads. Cancel or reset to stop the batch.

JPEG flattens transparency onto white; PNG and WebP preserve it. Canvas conversion does not retain EXIF, GPS, animation or the original metadata. Keep your original files when that information matters.

How to compress an image to 100KB or 200KB

1. Choose your images and output format. For a photo without transparency, start with JPEG. For transparent artwork, choose PNG or WebP if the destination accepts it.

2. Enter 100 or 200 in Target size in KB. Set a maximum width if your destination also limits pixels; zero keeps the original width unless target-size compression requires resizing.

3. Run the tool, inspect the preview and output dimensions, then download each successful file or the ZIP. A byte target alone does not ensure a form accepts the image: check its format and dimension rules too.

Does the result have exactly the requested file size?

The target is an upper limit, not an exact size. This tool uses 1 KB = 1,024 bytes, so 100 KB means at most 102,400 bytes. If a site requires strictly less than 100,000 bytes, use 97 KB or a lower target. Extremely small targets can fail and are reported as errors.

Which format should I choose: JPG, PNG or WebP?

JPEG is useful for photos but removes transparency. PNG retains transparency; its quality setting does not reduce PNG size, so a target may require smaller dimensions. WebP supports transparency and lossy compression, but your destination must accept WebP files.

What are the batch limits and quality tradeoffs?

Process up to 20 files, 50 MB per file and 100 MB total, with a 40-megapixel limit per decoded image. Target mode first lowers JPEG or WebP quality, then reduces dimensions if needed. It cannot promise lossless compression or a smaller result than every original. Keep the source files.
